Items vs. experiences
Updated: Jan 10, 2020
It's the season of gift-giving! Writing Santa about the presents you want! Christmas sales! Sadly... all the items you get will eventually break, maybe disappear into boxes in the basement... be donated... Even the most valuable gifts (electronics, jewelry...) will depreciate.
This is why I love photos! They don't depreciate! Photos will only become more valuable over time. New people will join the photos, some people will leave the photos. Styles will definitely change. But when you set aside time to experience a photographed moment as a family, you'll look back at those old photos and remember where you were in life, and who you were as a person. The place where you are in life is a milestone that will mean more later than it does right now.
Enjoy looking back on Winter of 2019! Kelsey is about to join your family, Bryson and Colin are knocking out college, Joel is rocking a very stylish vest, and Angie looks like she's 29. I enjoyed spending a sunny afternoon with you and you made me laugh so much! You are quality people and interacting with you during our "pinteresty" winter shoot was hilarious. If every family would laugh like you all can it would be so great- humor comes through photos beautifully!
