Wisconsin Prairie Wedding
The wedding of Rachel and Mitchell was planned in the midst of a pandemic, with only a five month engagement! Through all the twists and turns, and ups and downs of planning, the couple was calm as they calculated their best moves to have a safe and beautiful wedding that was packed with so many beautiful details and traditions, and wasn't hurried or rushed in the slight.
What I love most about being part of this wedding was to spend my day with the families and close friends of the new Mr and Mrs. I learned so much about who Rachel and Mitchell are as individuals and as a couple by getting to know their loved ones! The company they keep truly revealed their heart as a couple. Their wedding party and families were constantly looking out for each other, checking in with each other, and jumping in to solve any small problems as soon as they popped up. I've never seen a more loving and servant-hearted bridal party and I felt like we parted as friends!
Enjoy all the details and traditions that Rachel and Mitchell intentionally included in their wedding celebration to honor God and celebrate their marriage!
The bride and groom didn't see each other until the altar, but they did meet around a corner for a prayer and to exchange love letters. Mitchell asked Rachel if she wanted to "ring or dial" when it was time to pray, and that's when the sniffles started!
In the back, you see Rachel's parents watching as Mitchell and Rachel pray around a corner.
This is my go-to shot during the ceremony: the parents watching their children get married. It's an important day for your parents too!
Here's the legendary bridal party I've been talking about. It's hard to get a picture without at least one of them cracking up or having a good time, but candids are my favorite anyway!
The reception was full of laughter and fun!
Congratulations, Rachel and Mitch! From what I saw at your wedding day, I know you are well-equipped to have a long and joyful marriage. I was honored to be there! Happy Honeymooning!
